No one has ever claimed life in San Francisco to be cheap and easy. Its actually super exspensive, there is no place to park, and you can never be sure whoor what the poop smearedon the sidewalk came from... but for some reason, we all still love it.

My husband and I recently found the opportunity to move out of downtown. Something we actually didn't think was possible. With the constant rise in rents in a place like this, and the fact I am basically still in school with my assistant program, it's almost always best ti stay. Rent control is god in most cases. so you can imagine this is amazing news for us. We are kind of finding ourselves in one of those situations you almost think cant be real. We are moving in to a lovely home, in an evern better neighborhood. The studio being in the back, with a great little yard, and views for days.

Here comes the real buzz kill, we have to downsize. The first night we looked at the place it really didn't seem bad. Each time we go in, it seems to just deflate. The main and only room ( other than the bathroom and kitchen) is only 11'x17'. So small. Instead of being upset, we decided to turn this into a reason to get creative. It's now become an almsot design challenge we are both loving. Greg has been drawing out floor plans so we can maximize every square inch. We basically we had to get all new furniture, since what we have now basically wont work, and thats always fun. This odd new experience has almost given us a new lease on life in San Fancisco.
