3: thursday mornings

My new job as a salon assistant definitely is giving me some funny hours. After having an almost 100% consistent schedule for over a year, it’s defiantly been weird. I love having mornings like I do today. I never had time before to do something like blog. At least I never felt like it. I can take the time to clean the house in the morning, or take our dog for a long walk and explore the city. The one major part I have yet to figure out is how to properly manage my time that I know seem to have. It's hard getting used to not just wanting to relax every free second I get. It's really doing my no favors to not be productive, and to be working towards the things I want/am ispired by. I want to find more time to create things. I want to get back into making my jewlery, to work on creative photoshoots with people I've meet throught school, and work. I want to cook more, sketch more, read more. I still also have to get used to working “late” , not seeing my husband 2 days in a row, and just the all around sporadic schedule. But such is life , especially when you willingly and knowingly go into something. I am still loving my job, and am actually enjoying the challenge.

A few days ago I decided to pick up some new skin care while out shopping for my husbands birthday. I had been seeing something all over the internet and stores, it was one of those things where you just had to look it up because you almost felt as if you were missing out if you didn’t know what it was. So I did some research, read a ton of reviews and decided I would try it once I got the chance. So the other day I picked up a starter kit from Mario Bedescu. I went with “ The Brightening Kit” . I do have to say that even after just a few days I’m already loving it.

The true test for me will be If I start to get breakouts after the first few weeks. Even though I’m fast approaching my 30’s now, I still deal with acne. So now I get to take care of both (yay!) aging and hormonal breakouts! This little kit did not come with everything I need for the every day, so I still use a few products I love.

Out of all of this, I would say I’m enjoying the Glycolic Skin Renewal Complex, and the Vitamin C Serum the best. The Glycolic Skin Renewal Complex leaves my face feeling so soft in the morning, I only with this had come in a larger container. It is basically the size of a sample.
